Nursery News and Events
We hold a wide range of events including Sports day, Leavers Celebrations, Race for Life and a Christmas singalong. We are fortunate to have St James Park on our doorstep and we hold regular events at the park. We work in partnership with 'Friends of St James'. We invite parents/carers, grandparents and family to join us , and enjoy hosting regular “Stay and Play Sessions”.

During the Spring and Summer Terms we have chicks and ducks hatching and the children learn about life cycles, development and growth, as well as having tadpoles and eggs/caterpillars and butterflies! Sporting activities and events such as tennis and football are celebrated and we enjoy holding our annual Sports Day. The team loves participating with the children in Pancake day, Chinese New Year, Valentine’s Day, Easter, “Walk to School Week” and learning all about road safety.

During the Autumn Term we learn about Harvest Festival, Halloween, Diwali, Bonfire Night, Children in Need and Christmas. The children visit a Care Home and sing the resident’s traditional songs as well as having our annual Christmas “singalong” at St James Church.
